This is the best craigslist personal I have ever seen. Not for those with a short attention span!

    This is why Craigslist rules.
I'm not sure what to make of it, either.
I can't get an objective handle on it.
Smart, weird, very nitpicky, possibly obsessive ~ but, why not, I guess?
He might be just the ticket for somebody.
I like some of his imagery, but to me his focus on sweetness and light seems like eating too much cotton candy while riding a unicorn.

Dude's just actualizing "The Secret". I totally get it. ;o)

He wants slender, eh? Well, how slender (and cute) is he?!? The fact that he chose God rather than the Goddess counts me out (as if the "slender" thing didn't), but I'm more than o.k. about that.

      S. Archer, I saw the *cutest* t-shirt at WitchCamp last week - two unicorns fucking under a rainbow!!!! Made me remember the phrase, "You are *not* a special little snowflake!", for some strange reason . . .

        Blechhh.
This guy is one of those "nice guys" posted about earlier. Comes on all "love and light", but when you read between the lines (not hard) he REALLY comes off as a creepy, stalkerish asshole with HUGE issues of power and control preying on the whole "peace love and donuts" new age deal. I've seen the type in various churches. It's just the flipside. This guy is a fucking nutcase. This guy comes off as a total sociopath to me.

I mean, look at his wishlist. He doesn't want a woman with a mind of her own, with her own opinions, he wants a fucking robot. I bet he fucks his cat when no one is looking.

I hope he finds what he's looking for. Chances of finding that woman? Probably pretty high. I know a lot of women like this, however I don't know how interested they would be in him....

        Genius or insanity?

Is asking for what I want insane? I think not. Just because I ask for something a bit extraordinary doesn't mean it's insane.

        I vote genius!
        LOL =-)

"...The fact that he chose God rather than the Goddess counts me out (as if the "slender" thing didn't)..."

        - - - > My stumbling blocks were his insistence that she "love nearly everybody unconditionally" (or something like that) and that she must have engaged in one of only the approved spiritual exercises for a minimum of 15 minutes per day for the last however long.

But, you know, I don't know if this is so different (in that his criteria are any more or less bizarre), or any worse (because at least he can enumerate his fantasies in detail), than other people's approaches to dating...

His whole need to outline the likelihood of his becoming a bazillionaire in, oh, about a year, seems odd....

I wouldn't believe half the stuff he says - but that's probably the case with any ad on Craigslist. You have to read them with critical faculties intact and operating.
Avashi's probably right, of course, but I tend to give a lot of benefit of the doubt (is that the saying?) sometimes.

I also wonder it it's not actually a flat out con, it's got all the elements....appealing to the vanity of a woman who's already prone to unquestioning faith as it does. I mean, the guy could just as easily be fishing for all accepting, uncritical "goddesses" to invest in his "soon to be a billionaire" venture...'cause only "enlightened" beings can see the signs of his impending massive wealth (c'mon, billionaire?!? *lol*) Which I guess means anyone with their feet firmly on the ground will be able to see right away that it's a crock.

That is really detailed! So, a Goddess will find this ad and answer it to all his specifications without once seeing an actual picture of Mister soft clothes and Indiana Jones hat? I find that people who talk about their sexual prowess usually are mostly TALK.

I do have to agree that this was a pretty intensely thought out controlling ad. He had me until the dog. ha ha ha.

She cannot have a low or raspy voice. So she must sound like one of the Girls Next Door and look like them too but have the mind and spirit of a yogini. And it is okay for her to have been a prostitute but not okay if she still has too much of a connection with any past abusive relationships.

sigh, good on him for knowing what he wants, I will keep an eye out for a bazillionare with a goddess at his side in the future. If this is a hoax that is a lot of thought put in it. But it seems rather suspect and might prey on women because he does not offer up a picture and just that tells me he has not written it but is hoping for someone who is a little bit desperate.

I thought I would be as wordy about my reply as his list of requirements. He sounds like an incredible narcissist and control freak. Must have had an over controlling mother. (eep, sweeping generalization anyone?)

Ha ha ha ha! Total nut job!

"I find that people who talk about their sexual prowess usually are mostly TALK. "
      Thaat is so true.

that is one extremely manipulative narcissistic creep. I think he's trying to start a cult and wants his perfect actress puppet to for a show piece in that endeavor.

Strong - Could be that too. Or he's just a pimp and con man.

The whole Madonna/whore thing (dressed up in new age garb - goddess/prostitute) is one of the many reasons I stay well clear of men who are overly into the whole "goddess" thing. I'm a human being dammit!!! I find a lot of the goddess stuff really sexist actually - both in its denigration of men and it's unrealistic idolization of women that denies our humanity. At least the Madonna was human!!! ;-)

That is exactly what I thought towards the beginning of the ad, but it got lost with all the other creepy stuff.

I have a natural aversion to anyone who uses a MS Word outline template for a personal ad. How impersonal can you get?

This guy is a monkey clump.

      lmoa, monkey clump!

i tried to give him the benefit of respect for his desire to find the woman of his dreams, only it felt like he was describing himself most of the time, except when he was describing his sexual fantasies. it sure didn't feel like he had left a whole lot of space for a real woman to fit his picture.

but i *loved* the very end, after a bunch of white space, where he put his prayer chant blessing on the ad in writing. that really gave me a shiver. but hey, maybe the perfect match for him will see that and respond. between prayers from the approved list, of course.
