Without getting moral about it if you haven't have you ever had a sexual fantasy about a family member? If so have you acted on it?

Re: Have you ever fantasized about a family member (brother, father, sister, mother)?
Mon, September 7, 2009 - 6:16 AMNo. And without getting all moral about it, I notice you left out "child". -

Re: Have you ever fantasized about a family member (brother, father, sister, mother)?
Mon, September 7, 2009 - 7:15 AMwell that sounds very moralistic
I left out child for a good reason
I wasn't referring to children -

Re: Have you ever fantasized about a family member (brother, father, sister, mother)?
Tue, September 8, 2009 - 8:31 AM"Children" can be either an age category or a relationship category; I meant the relationship category. Sorry for not being clear about that.

Re: Have you ever fantasized about a family member (brother, father, sister, mother)?
Mon, September 7, 2009 - 9:03 AMwhen i was very young, (12 or so) i felt a massive attraction to my cousin, who was a knockout, plain and simple, but no, never acted on it. HOnestly i think most people , if there is an attractive family member close to them ,will feel SOME kind of biological attraction to them, its just the body feeling attraction to the opposite, ( or ,i suppose, the same sex for others) sex. I never felt any shame in it, my cousin WAS hot, became a model later on, i knew it was just my body reacting to an attractive female presence, nothing to be concerned with.

Re: Have you ever fantasized about a family member (brother, father, sister, mother)?
Wed, September 16, 2009 - 1:03 PMSV, I think the simple way my Mom explained our similar questions about siblings (animal & human) was something about babies have a better chance of being deformed or not smart, when creatures from the same family mate. If they ask more, you can give them a quick explanation of how variety is needed to keep family genetics strong. -

Re: Have you ever fantasized about a family member (brother, father, sister, mother)?
Thu, October 1, 2009 - 9:28 PMI have told him that animals(people included) are the healthiest when their genes are as different as possible. That it's good for us to make families with people from very different places. -

Re: Have you ever fantasized about a family member (brother, father, sister, mother)?
Tue, September 8, 2009 - 11:17 AMnope, well unless you count my step step brother and then yes and yes.
I tend to be ok with anything that consenting adults want to do. But I can't help thinking that a parent is always an authority figure (or someone with a strong emotional hold on their "children" even as adults) and therefore it crosses for me one of the boundaries of consent. I'm not trying to "get moral about it" that is just the interesting discussion connected with your question that comes up for me. On the other hand my 6 year old keeps asking why our kittens who are brother and sister can't get married and I when I told him that kitties didn't get married he asked what if they weren't kitties? and I said brothers and sisters aren't allowed to get married either. He keeps asking me why and I can't think of a reason to tell him. I can't imagine it being healthy and it would definitely fall under the same issues as the parent-child situation in some cases IMO...but I can't think of anything to tell him that is objective. -

Re: Have you ever fantasized about a family member (brother, father, sister, mother)?
Tue, September 8, 2009 - 2:03 PMYou could tell him that they would have genetically mutant children. Ones with 2 heads perhaps. -

Re: Have you ever fantasized about a family member (brother, father, sister, mother)?
Wed, September 9, 2009 - 9:35 AMeven if I was willing to tell him propaganda like that no way I'd want to answer all of the questions that would cause. He's an unusual 6 year old...I'd have to explain DNA at a higher level of science then I have in my brain to satisfy him.

Re: Have you ever fantasized about a family member (brother, father, sister, mother)?
Tue, September 8, 2009 - 2:41 PMHell yes, and heck no!
As a teen I had fantasies about my mother, LOL. As I got older, both a step sister and a half sister came with bodies that turned me on. Even now one of my half sisters is hot as hell!
Act on it? Never though got close with my step sister when a fun party spontaneously turned into a sex party years ago.
My half sister is a wild one too so I'd never count that fully out, LOL.
Background, my parents had 2 kids and divorced. Both remarried. picking up kids from previous marriages, and then had more kids. More kids and parents overall then yo can imagine.
Hugs,
Rig Daddy

Re: Have you ever fantasized about a family member (brother, father, sister, mother)?
Tue, September 8, 2009 - 9:33 PMOh, I had a "kissin' cousins" summer a loooong time ago... we weren't *quite* old enough for puberty so no real danger.... which is why I guess my aunt and his uncle weren't concerned when we would spend long periods of time with our heads under a blanket in the basement. In August. In the insanely hot and muggy midwest. That was 30 years ago and my family still teases us about that, btw....

Re: Have you ever fantasized about a family member (brother, father, sister, mother)?
Thu, September 10, 2009 - 10:10 PMPerhaps, John, but experience says, unlikely.
I had a nice fat crush on my much older handsome hippie artist second cousin when I was a little kid... and into being a bigger kid, come to think of it... Just a cool guy, from a great family. Just thinking of him still makes me smile. He grew up sexy, too... but *sigh* he didn't wait for me- he got married & divorced & married again...lived all over Europe. Very Crushworthy.
When I was 19, I spent a very date-like evening w/ that cousin's younger brother at a sea-side amusement park. He was in his mid-20s, & had just gotten back from working oil rigs to make money to finish college. I was pretty wild at that age, testing my sexual power, & I could tell my cousin was intrigued, if also bit protective. The energy was pretty juicy... enough for some clear flirting. We definitely had as much fun as when he & his brothers used to become scary growly monsters &, chase my brother & l, lol. (They let us have their old comic books, too).
We didn't act on it tho', & I'm more than OK w/ that.
Cousins aren't siblings, & second cousins is far removed enough not to be creepy, but still, it just would have been weird. Our families were really close, & the relationship was more like first close cousins.
I come from a pretty solid, close-knit Jewish family, . We're not conservative or repressive, but especially back then, there were few divorces, & our extended family was very stable. Still pretty stable, actually. So our blood ties & culture of family are very strong.. That usually tends to discourage acting on inter-family stuff. In addition, this was in the NYC metro area, & there were tons of extended family around who saw one another frequently & looked out for one another. Plus, certainly plenty of other people outside the clan around to choose from.
The idea of being sexual w/ immediate family is completely anti-sexual, disturbingly creepy & blecccch to me.
SV, other than the genetic reasons why siblings don't make the best mates (which isn't propaganda- there is real truth to that) there are lots of good reasons for incest taboos. You already cited the power issue. There's the obvious need to protect children & even teens. Much of that has to do w/ the physical effects, but it's also about a young person's right to grow up free to develop in their own time, emotionally & sexually.
And also, very importantly, even btwn siblings, the taboo promotes more stability in family groups. (Adult steps who are no longer living together is different). Sex can be binding, but we all know it also can cause a LOT of drama, & breakups happen. Bring that into already fraught , intense bloodties of family... & whoooo, what a powderkeg. Just turn on Jerry Springer...or think of people you know that have been thru it... -

Sat, September 12, 2009 - 12:39 AMdefinitely...but I can't seem to boil that down to a concrete concept that would make sense to a 6 year old(o:
