Re: Menstrual Cups
Sat, May 3, 2008 - 12:09 AMI cannot remember the brand name, but I used the cups that came in the lavendar packaging.
The cups were inserted and fit like a diaphram. The ones I used held plenty of fluid, but I always used a panty liner on my heaviest day.
The product I used could be purchased at grocery stores or at drug stores.
If you already have a diaphram, you might try using that to catch the fluid.
May I suggest that you harvest the captured fluid to use on your favorite plants. Do not let it go down the drain.

Re: Menstrual Cups
Sat, May 3, 2008 - 1:18 AMI use the Instead cups and have never had even the slightest problem except that when I "bear down" it empties itself.... but that can be handy too. I've heard other folks say they leak too and all I can think is that either A) they aren't pushing the cup up and back until it forms a seal over the cervix of B) the Instead cup doesn't conform to their individual shape as well.
You can order a Diva cup (re-usable): www.divacup.com/
There's Lunette (but I don't know if anywhere in America carries them): www.lunette.fi/english_index.html
Mooncup: www.mooncup.co.uk/menstrual...nline.html
and then there's The Keeper: thekeeperstore.com/
You might also try calling the planned parenthood line and asking to talk to one of their on-call nurses about why you might be having problems with the cup and suggested solutions.
