Re: MILF
Sat, June 28, 2008 - 7:52 PMdepends on who says it. ;-)
I was very happy to encounter this the first time, not always so happy since. I generally prefer direct communication and having someone acknowledge my duality as nurturing mom and juicy sex object is very satisfying, generally.

Re: MILF
Sat, June 28, 2008 - 8:26 PMThe first time I was called MILF, I had to ask around and see what it meant. I don't mind it at all but I hope the person saying it doesn't just have a mom fetish.
-
Re: MILF
Sat, June 28, 2008 - 9:06 PMI guess it depends on who is saying it. If I don't even know someone and they say it to me it seems a bit too familiar for me. I don't get insulted just a little creeped out.
I guess I don't mind someone I am lovers with saying they want to fuck me but someone I am not, just seems a bit much to me. As if they are sniffing my ass or something. -

Re: MILF
Sat, June 28, 2008 - 10:05 PM<<...As if they are sniffing my ass or something...>>
LOL. MILF
i had seen this acronym and heard it used as reference though i had no idea what it stood for until recently and it seems really stupid to be flattered by it. nothing says low-self esteem like finding your value in being seen as "fuckable" by random men or boys. -
-
Re: MILF
Sat, June 28, 2008 - 11:30 PMThe new MILF is cougar. Get with the time. -
-
Re: MILF
Sat, June 28, 2008 - 11:34 PMBTW I think it's flattering cause we've gotten passed the worst parts of our life child rearing and now we have more time for ourselves to do whatever we want and feel good and positive.
I was just informed from my daughter that some classmates of hers in summer school called me a MILF when I look my worst in the morning dropping her off at school. So yeah, that's pretty flattering.
-
Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 2:53 PMInteresting. I prefer MILF to cougar, I hate that one.
The youngest person to MILF me was about 35. So, yeah, it would be a little different coming from a teenager. -
-
Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 6:29 PMI don't really like Cougar either. I am not fucking hunting, or hunting fucking. I just happen to be a 45 year old woman who has a young firey spirit.

MILF ≠ Cougar
Tue, July 1, 2008 - 7:41 AMCougars and MILF are very different. A cougar is an older woman of appetite who habitually hunts younger men, the female het version of "chickenhawk" among gay men. "MILF" is a more general term, largely invented by the porn industry who had created an insanely stylized notion of what was sexually attractive and then needed a label for more normal women: sexually attractive folks thirty or older with curves. A similar thing happened with roses in past times, when the floral ideal went from full and fragrant blossoms to tight little nothing buds without scent. Those who appreciated the real thing were considered perverse in their way as well.
I have never heard the term cougar used to refer to anyone younger than forty, and only when their appetite was primarily for younger men.
MILF: it's the new "sexy woman."
Gather ye rosebuds if that's all you can get.... 8^) -

Re: MILF ≠ Cougar
Tue, July 1, 2008 - 7:21 PMI have been hearing the term "wildcat" to refer to women in their 50's that chase younger men.
If MILFs are in their 30's,
Cougars are in their 40's,
and Wildcats are in their 50's,
what's after that? -
-
Re: MILF ≠ Cougar
Wed, July 2, 2008 - 1:25 AMI think Cougar and Wildcats are different groups term for the same thing. I thought Cougars and Goats were any person past a certain age (which age seems to vary depending upon who you ask) and didn't top off anywhere.

Re: MILF ≠ Cougar
Thu, July 3, 2008 - 1:15 PM"The old grey mule" awwwww.
I do think there are some women, and men, who fit into "the old grey mule" category, but it's not a term I would use complimentary.
My grandmother, who gleefully gave up sex and moved into her own room as soon as the third child popped out, would be a candidate for "old grey mule" status. Hell, I think she has cobwebs up there!

Ahh thanks for that definition. I though MILF was simply *Mom I'd Like to Fuck* The other night my man and I were talking about porn, and he used this term, which made no sense to me...But now it does!

Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 12:17 AMit icks me out. I guess I just don't like my momness that close to my sexiness. Plus I'm not sure I take being someone that someone "would like to fuck" as a compliment in any case. It just doesn't sound complimentary to me. It sounds like it could be true of someone who I am attracted too...but mostly it sounds like it would come from the random guy hanging out of his truck window to yell at me that he thought I was hot. It's not that it's offensive...it's just that it's not the wanting that is flattering, it's being wanted by a man I want to want me so being wanted by just anyone doesn't flatter me.
It doesn't help that I can't think of any time I've heard milf referenced besides movies about teenage boys and porn.

Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 2:49 AMErrrrrr.... you gawd damn sexy ass cunts bitches and reprobates. <hands in the air>As a man it scares the fuckwit out of me. Miele... all I can say is DAMN.... um yeah DAMN. If your panties hit the ground before me you would get shaged hard and without regret. Quel.... oh damn... coffee when you are in seattle... Sex .... um yeah the real dope if ya want it.
Aside... It is a case by case. I have had more than one kid ripped out of my life.... MILF in general equals pain. I love kids. I suffer when good kidlets leave my life. It gets hard when the peice of ass involves questions like "What happened to JSin?"
So many of you are soooooooo... well all i can offer is an 8 in pierced personality..... and the pain of playin with the kids

Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 6:05 AMi have to point out that although several people have noted that they didn't know what the acronym stood for, no one has bothered to spell it out yet.
???

-
Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 6:39 AMi should have said "several people said they only recently found out" what it stood for. Anyway, if it stands for, as I suspect, "Mother I'd Like to Fuck" then it strikes me as inherently insulting. The implication is that motherhood in general makes a woman less sexually attractive. (Note: Individual Opinion ahead!) I think a woman becomes more sexually attractive and more in tune with her sexuality after motherhood. -
-
Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 7:13 AMYall could be missing the point. May HM would be better (Hot Mom). I could say HMAM ( Hot Middle Aged Mom) but then the younger women would be upset over being called middle aged. Any way I think the terminology may be insulting and crude but the thought may not be dropping pants in a parked car and sniff asses but that she is hot as in desirable.

Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 7:14 AMI think aside from my uneasiness with the possible Oedipal implications, and my distaste for crudity from boys who don't even know me (as opposed to crudity from my friends!), I'm wondering if what burns me stems from an oversensitivity about my age. Since these comments seem to come from young men, it feels like what they are saying is I'm clearly so desperate for attention that I would be grateful for whatever undiscriminating enthusiasm they have to offer in that regard.
I hadn't thought though of the attribute of motherhood as adding to ones sexual lure.
Yes, PapaRed, you have the acronym right. -

Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 7:26 AMWell, I've never been called a FILF, so I'm not sure.
-
Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 10:22 AMmore than insulting....just plain icky. As a teacher I never cross that line
between me as a sexual being and kids, even teens. And as someone
with a 19 yr old son, and a 9 yr old son the implications with their friends
and such just make it a place I don't go, ever.
-
Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 12:48 PMI have personally only been called a MILF by those in my peer group and they mean it as a compliment. If one of my son's friends called me that, he'd probably punch them out.
What I thin is worse, is to be called "Mrs. Robinson", which I am definitely not, but was called a few times. I think the whole point is to let someone know they are attractive despite the connotation. I really think the person saying these things isn't thinking about how it could be percieved. -
-
Re: MILF

I feel like that IS what it says -
-
Re: MILF
Wed, July 2, 2008 - 8:46 AMWell, a MILF just means they find you attractive. It requires no pursuit on the part of the woman. Mrs. Robinson was the hunter, conversely.

Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 5:10 PMI haven't been called that, but have been called "old lady" by some of OkCupid's "children." Something about being 49, I guess. I would probably be insulted if I were actually a mother. -
-
Re: MILF
Sun, June 29, 2008 - 6:31 PMI haven't had that happen on OK Cupid yet but I have gotten some long silent pauses from some people I have expressed interest in, and they were only maybe 5-10 years younger. I think they have this date range and it doesn't matter who you really are they see the date range and say NO WAY.
I guess I am guilty of that too, I just mostly am not so into men that are older than I am not at this time. So I guess I am guilty, I haven't met to many DILF's. lol

-
Re: MILF
Mon, June 30, 2008 - 7:56 PMI think it's pretty flattering, especially in the original context. Coming from me, it doesn't mean anything special, since I'm probably age appropriate for most of you sexy ladies. The original meaning was that it was coming from a boy and was directed towards the mom of a buddy or classmate. So, the desireablility of a mother of a teenaged or older boy to a young man, especially compared to the more age appropriate options, could be seen as a crude but otherwise flattering comment.
-
Re: MILF
Tue, July 1, 2008 - 8:22 PMdepends on who it's coming from.
the first time i heard the term, one of my favorite young friends used it about me... i asked what it meant, he told me, and i was not in the least insulted, since it was how he was expressing his interest in me for the first time. so yes, flattering, in the right context (e.g., young guy hot for older woman, i find very little to be upset about with that ;^)
and that's entirely different from "cougars" which is a term for predatory older women, which i am most decidedly not, so if someone called me that, they would be wrong, and have destroyed any chance for connecting with me at all. -
-
Re: MILF
Wed, July 2, 2008 - 1:27 AM"and that's entirely different from "cougars" which is a term for predatory older women, which i am most decidedly not, so if someone called me that, they would be wrong, and have destroyed any chance for connecting with me at all."
Really? I thought it a relatively flattering term. I don't think of it as particularly predatory other than that Cougars are still on the lookout for potential sexual partners while our culture has, for so long, encouraged women past a certain age to abandon sexuality. -
-
Re: MILF
Thu, July 3, 2008 - 1:49 AMthe first time i saw the term cougar was in an article about a (the?) woman who was proudly promoting the term and the concept... so perhaps i have a very specific definition of the word.
she was a rich 60-ish new york woman with a hair-sprayed salon do and designer clothes, who, with her friends, would dress up and go to upscale bars to find handsome young men (who were often there looking for a sugar momma), sex and the city style. definitely and without a doubt predatory.
to each their own, and whatever makes you happy... but i would never want to be considered a cougar. i'm all for women having great sex their whole lives, and for older women dating younger men (my life would not be the same without younger men ;^) but in more of a human and respectful way. -
-
Re: MILF
Thu, July 3, 2008 - 7:03 AMLeslie, I totally agree with you. :) I am not hunting younger men I just happen to relate to men that are younger than I am better than most men my own age or older. And if someone is looking for a sugar mama they better look somewhere else. I am not interested in that dynamic in either direction. Sugar Daddy sugar mama. Whatever.
